Report: West Brom and Watford after Ligue 1 star Henri Bedimo

The Lyon left-back is reportedly also a target for teams in Turkey.

Reports in France today are suggesting that Watford and West Bromwich Albion are about to do battle for the signing of Lyon defender Henri Bedimo.

The report from MaxiFoot suggests that the Cameroonian is a target for both teams in their search for a left-back this summer.

Bedimo played 31 times for Lyon this season but is reportedly ready to move on from the club for a new challenge this summer. He currently has 31 caps for Cameroon and joined Lyon from Montpellier, where he won the Ligue 1 title in 2012, back in 2013.

It is not the first time he has been linked with a move to Premier League clubs. He very nearly became a West Ham player back in 2013, as reported by Sky Sports.

West Brom need a new left-back. Last summer's solution to the problem was Sebastien Pocognoli, but Tony Pulis is not a fan of the Belgian full-back. Chris Brunt has recently had to fill in at the position.

Watford meanwhile are looking to strengthen across the board and Bedimo would add some solidity to their attacking minded game.

Turkish teams are also said to be after Bedimo, so it will be interesting to see if West Brom or Watford can get a hold of him.
