Rangers FC - Ibrox

The Rangers captain responded to an altercation with supporters.

Sunday wasn't a great day for Rangers - and it went considerably worse than could've been imagined even after their 3-1 first-leg defeat to Motherwell.

Indeed, after being beaten 3-1 at Ibrox, the Gers came to Fir Park and lost 3-0 to convincingly blow their chance of promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

Now, Rangers will have to start from scratch in the Scottish Championship once again - but it may do them good if they conduct the correct business this summer.

The football aside, however, there were further complications for Rangers at Motherwell on Sunday. There were incidents galore, including the above: a picture of Gers skipper Lee McCulloch walking away from Motherwell fans. He was walking away after a supporter had struck him with an umbrella...

Meanwhile, Rangers boss Stuart McCall's comments suggest major work is needed in terms of the club's infrastructure this summer. Will he be at Ibrox next season? And will most of those who were out on the field of play against Motherwell?

For now, a forgettable season for Rangers was brought to a controversial conclusion...
