The Aston Villa striker couldn't find the net against Arsenal at Wembley.
Aston Villa's big finale fell flat on Saturday afternoon, as the Gunners swept Tim Sherwood's men aside in the FA Cup final.
The Villa faithful were gutted with the performance of most of their squad - especially Charles N'Zogbia.
But, when it came to the display of star striker Christian Benteke, it wasn't just Aston Villa supporters who were disappointed with what they saw.
Yes, the Belgian was starved of service against quality opposition - but Liverpool fans were still displeased with what they saw on Saturday.
Indeed, the 24-year-old has been linked with a summer move to the Reds, with opinion split on whether the Aston Villa striker is good enough to fit in at Anfield. The FA Cup final seems to have swayed views the wrong way...
Liverpool fans took to Twitter to give their view on Benteke's laboured performance for Sherwood's side against Arsenal and don't appear convinced he is the right man to spearhead the Reds' attack next season. Not for a big-money fee, that's for sure.
So John Henry and the rest of the Liverpool board - are you listening to your supporters? Or is it going to be a case of same old, same old from FSG...
All those "Benteke for #lfc" tweets have gone into hiding! !! He's not the £30m solution to our problems— 1 YM (@Yousuf_Miah) Mayt 30, 2015
Must admit today was the first time I have properly watched Benteke apart from MOTD highlights, i really hope today was not the norm! #LFC— Ashton Wright (@AshRobWright) May 30, 2015
Benteke didn't exactly cover himself in glory today but yet again he was playing for Villa. #LFC— Elpikester (@elpikester) May 30, 2015
Would be typical of #LFC to pay £32.5m for Benteke after that display.— Ben Rogers (@eviemae239) May 30, 2015
Benteke lack of marking for the Mertesacker goal is probably the reason why BR seems keen on him would fit right in with our defence #LFC— Shamas شماس (@inFamousKingz) May 30, 2015
