A day later, Jack Grealish's one-word response to Villa's cup defeat

The young Aston Villa player was clearly distraught after losing the cup final to Arsenal this weekend.

Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish has taken to Twitter to express his feelings following his side’s FA Cup final defeat to Arsenal on Saturday.

Tim Sherwood’s side were well below their best at Wembley, failing to replicate the form they showed in their semi-final victory against Liverpool and ultimately crashing to a 4-0 defeat.

Goals from Theo Walcott, Alexis Sanchez, Per Mertesacker and Olivier Giroud gave Arsenal an emphatic victory and Grealish – who played the entire 90 minutes – summed up his feelings with a one-word tweet.

“Gutted,” the 19-year-old wrote, along with a picture of him sitting disconsolately on the pitch at the final whistle.

The Villa winger has started regularly in recent times and he played a vital role in his side’s earlier trip to Wembley for the semi-final.

But despite pulling clear of relegation with some late heroics Villa could not add some silverware to their collection, leaving Grealish and his teammates to reflect on what might have been.
