Report: Italian international Eder rejects transfer approach from Crystal Palace

The Brazilian-born forward does not want to leave Italy.

Crystal Palace had an exceptional campaign last season, especially when Alan Pardew took over.

The former Newcastle United boss turned around the fortunes of The Eagles after taking over from Neil Warnock.

The club's pace and verve certainly has changed things at the club in recent times and now the attention turns to the summer.

One player they are reportedly looking at is Italian international Eder.

The Brazilian-born 28-year-old has worked his way up through the leagues in Italian football, becoming a star at Sampdoria in recent times.

He made his first appearances for Italy this season, scoring against Bulgaria in March.

Tutto Mercato Web in Italy are reporting that Crystal Palace have made a bid for Eder, who has scored 10 goals in 32 appearances for Sampdoria this season.

However, don't get excited.

Sampdoria's star forward has reportedly rejected a move almost instantaneously. He is not believed to be keen on a move to England at this point in his career as he is settled in Italy.

Palace could certainly do with another striker this summer if they are going to push on in the Premier League. However, Eder can be crossed off from the list.
