The Swedish international is a free agent as his contract with Manchester City expires.
Celtic do not look set to snap up their loanee striker John Guidetti this summer. The Swede arrived at the club from Manchester City last summer on a deal until the end of the season, with Celtic keen on a move for the player if the deal was a success.
The former Feyenoord loanee scored 15 goals in 35 appearances for Celtic, but only four of those goals came in 2015, with Guidetti struggling for his best form since the turn of the year.
Leigh Griffiths has stepped up to the plate for Celtic in recent times and now Guidetti is on his way out.
Le10 Sport are reporting that Marseille want to sign the player, who is available on a free transfer after his current deal at Manchester City expires this summer.
Guidetti is reportedly being targeted as the perfect replacement for Andre-Pierre Gignac, who is also becoming a free agent in the coming month.
Celtic fans have never been sure over Guidetti. Undoubtedly talented his form in the second half of the season certainly had alarm bells ringing at Celtic Park.
Now he will hope to get his career on the go, potentially at Marseille.
