Top Five: English football hat-tricks - featuring Southampton, West Ham heroes

Arshavin

Arsenal, Southampton, Liverpool, Tottenham and West Ham legends have all scored memorable hat-tricks.

Andrey Arshavin celebrates his 34th birthday today, and is currently plying his trade with Zenit Saint Petersburg.

However, he is best known for his spell with Arsenal, which started so brightly before tailing off into nothingness.

Arguably his greatest moment for the Gunners came in a famous match against Liverpool, a few months after moving to North London.

At Anfield, the Russian international attacker netted all four goals for the Gunners as a 4-4 draw was secured, becoming the first player since 1946 to score four goals in a single league match at Anfield.

It was a display of incredible talent and commitment from the recent signing, and his career never reached those heights again.

However, to celebrate the birthday of Arshavin, we take a look at five other incredible feats of goalscoring in English football.

Saido Mane scores the fasted Premier League hat-trick - Southampton vs Aston Villa, 2015

Alvin Martin scores against three different goalkeepers - West Ham vs Newcastle United, 1986

Dennis Bergkamp scores a majestical hat-trick - Arsenal vs Leicester City, 1997

Gareth Bale destroys Inter Milan - Tottenham Hotspur vs Internazionale, 2010

Luis Suarez proves his brilliance - Liverpool vs Norwich City, 2012
