Aston Villa take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
Sherwood has put his faith in Grealish since taking charge, making the Irish-born midfielder his main creator.
It is a move which has paid dividends, with Grealish becoming one of Villa's standout players, and Sherwood is hoping that the 19-year-old will continue to cope with the pressure.
The Claret and Blues take on Arsenal in the FA Cup final on Saturday, with Grealish looking set to play a central role.
“The bigger the stage, the better he’s been. There isn’t any bigger stage than this so I’m hoping he performs - otherwise we’ll sell him," Sherwood joked.
“He’s great - he loves playing, he doesn’t get affected, I don’t think he gets nervous. He’s not the type, he’s a terrific player.
“I think he realises the enormity. He’s been around Aston Villa fans all his life. Jack has never seen the club win a trophy in his years, so it’s a great opportunity.”
Grealish's form has generated a lot of excitement around Villa Park and he will be looking to shine against Arsenal.
In his last appearances at Wembley, against Liverpool in the semi-final, the attacking midfielder stood out and if he can do so again, Villa's chances of lifting the trophy will be greatly enhanced.
Villa go into the game against Arsenal as the outsiders, but they have a lot of attacking quality and they will be looking to prove their threat at the weekend.
