Leeds United have been linked with several top quality players over the past week.
Leeds United head coach Uwe Rosler will already be mulling over ways he can improve his squad for next season.
Neil Redfearn left behind a strong spine to the team and it will be interesting to see how the German develops things to try and get the club into a position where they are competing for promotion into the Premier League.
Here are five of the best players linked with moves to Elland Road over the past seven days.
Jermaine Beckford (Preston)
The Yorkshire Evening Post suggested that the ex-Leeds striker was being tipped for a return to the club. He would be a superb signing if the club could pull it off, but latest reports suggest they are swaying away from making a move.
Paul Robinson (Blackburn, soon to be released)
Paul Robinson is another ex-player who has been linked with a Leeds return by the Sun. It’s unclear at the moment whether Rosler will push hard for a transfer because of Marco Silvestri’s consistency and long term contract.
Ben Pringle (Rotherham United)
The Derby Telegraph lists Leeds United as one of the teams interested in a deal for winger Ben Pringle. There is a need for a wide player to come into Leeds’s squad and Pringle could find the move a difficult one to turn down.
Marco Migliorini (Free agent)
Italian source TMW claimed that the centre back was a target for Leeds United. However, the major stumbling block appears to be that Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move to sign him.
Simon Moore (Cardiff City)
Moore is another goalkeeper linked with the club by the Sun in the transfer round-up section of Sky Sports, but lower profile than Robinson and arguably a good candidate to provide a backup option to Silvestri. He’s highly rated by the Welsh club so a deal may be difficult.
