Michael Owen says Arsenal's Jack Wilshere's goal does not even make his top 10 of the season

Jack Wilshere won goal of the season, but the Arsenal star is nowhere on Michael Owen's top 10.

Michael Owen has picked his top 10 goals of the Premier League season, and the official BBC winner is nowhere to be seen.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere clinched Sunday's vote with his stunning final day strike in the 4-1 win over West Brom.

It was the second season in succession the midfielder had won the award, doing so 12 months earlier by finishing off an impressive team goal against Norwich City.

Owen's top selection was Andre Schurrle's goal for Chelsea against West Brom, with Cesc Fabregas, Charlie Austin and Wayne Rooney making up his top four.

The former Liverpool striker also picked out goals from Matt Phillips, Charlie Adam, Angel di Maria, Jermain Defoe, Bobby Zamora, and Graziano Pelle.

He did not spare a thought for Wilshere after either, commenting on goals which missed his shortlist, but not the England midfielder's.

Owen had said earlier in the season, reported by Goal, that he expected Arsenal to finish in fifth place in the Premier League.
