West Ham United are already busy recruiting players for next season.
Sullivan has also revealed that a “big name” player will be recruited next month.
“We hope to announce our first signing in the next 24 hours and follow that up with a big name in the next two-three weeks,” the 66-year-old wrote on West Ham’s official website.
It seems that the West Ham bosses have been busy over the past few days in recruiting players for next season.
While the fans should be excited about the first two signings of the summer, they need to realise that they will not be the new manager’s signings.
The Hammers have yet to appoint a new boss following the departure of Sam Allardyce earlier this week.
This means that West Ham’s “first signing” will have been decided by the board, and the “big name” player will also be one who has been chosen by the board.
Not consulting the manager on summer signings is not a good idea, and it will be interesting to see how the new boss uses the players who will be handed to him.
