Agent of reported Stoke City target Yevhen Konoplyanka confirms ‘only concrete offer'

Konoplyanka is reportedly wanted by Stoke and Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Konoplyanka is out-of-contract at Dnipro this summer, but his agent has told TMW that only his current club have submitted a formal approach for him.

The agent said: “Many clubs are on the boy and all options are open. But at present the only concrete offer is from Dnipro, which intends to renew the contract.”

Konoplyanka is reportedly wanted by both Stoke and Tottenham, as per the Sentinel and the Sun, and the Sentinel report claimed that the Potters were closing in on a deal for the free agent.

The 25-year-old winger is the star man in the Dnipro team, and is one of the best players in Ukrainian football, and it is no surprise that he has been linked with a move to the Premier League following his impressive exploits.

However, his agent has confirmed that he has only received one offer as of yet, which is from his current club, who are keen to tie him down for the near future.

That is an unlikely occurrence, with all the English interest, but Konoplyanka could be enticed to sign the deal should no other club submit formal approaches for him in the coming weeks.

The longer that interest parties delay offering him a new contract, the more likely it is that the talented winger will agree a new contract with his current club.

Seeing that Konoplyanka is available on a free transfer, and is a truly talented player, both Stoke and Spurs would be wise to submit an offer for the 25-year-old in the coming days.
