West Ham United's hunt for a new manager continues, with the news yesterday that Marcelo Bielsa seems to be out of the running something of a blow.
Other names linked with the job include Slaven Bilic, Roberto Di Matteo and David Moyes - to name but a few.
Another man who West Ham are apparently keen on is Sevilla boss Unai Emery. The Telegraph reported today that West Ham would not be put off by the £1 million compensation they would have to pay for his services.
Last night he once again showed just why he is envied by other clubs. Sevilla defeated Dnipro 3-2 in the Europa League final last night as Emery continues to see his stock rise in Europe.
After guiding Sevilla to their second consecutive Europa League triumph however he was not willing to answer questions about his future.
He is quoted by Uefa.com as stating:
"Now is not the time to talk about the future. I learned a long time ago that you have to live the present without thinking about the future. We have demanded a lot of ourselves so we want to enjoy our great achievement right now.
"The Champions League will be an eye-opener but we'll think about it in the coming days. Now we will enjoy this with our family and friends, as well as the supporters."
Emery has now won the Europa League in the last two seasons and with West Ham set to embark on their own European campaign next season, after qualifying via the Fair Play table.
