The former defender was released by Sunderland in 2013.
Titus Bramble is a player who certainly conjures up mixed memories for Sunderland fans. The former Newcastle and Wigan Athletic player had his good games, but he was also well known for being something of a liability.
Regardless he was always popular with football fans, if not always for the right reasons.
He left Sunderland in 2013, firing a parting shot at controversial manager Paolo Di Canio in the process. Nowadays he is coaching the under-11s at former club Ipswich Town and, although not officially retired, has remained without a club for the past two years.
But he is still clearly close to at least one former Sunderland player. He was off to Dubai yesterday with Sunderland striker Connor Wickham, with both men Tweeting about the trip.
Of course the pair are not just former Sunderland team-mates. Wickham, like Bramble, also came through the ranks at Ipswich Town so the pair have something of a Suffolk connection as well.
As much as Sunderland fans will be pleased to know Bramble is still in favour among members of their first-team to this day, we doubt any of them will be hoping for a Bramble return.
