Nabil Fekir has enjoyed a fantastic season for Lyon as they finished runners-up in Ligue 1.
Ligue 1 is famed for bringing through some excellent talent, and the Premier League scouts are never too far behind. Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked by sources such as the Express with a few of the players that make up our Ligue 1 Young Team of the Year.
Everyone is aged 21 years old or younger.
GK: Mouez Hassen: OGC Nice
Played 30 games for Nice this season, and although there were mistakes, there was plenty to be excited about from the 19-year-old.
RB: Fabinho: AS Monaco
Another brilliant season for the Brazilian full-back, his ability to push up and down the flanks was crucial for Monaco. Has signed a four-year deal at the club.
CB: Samuel Umtiti: Olympique Lyonnais
The 21-year-old defender is experienced beyond his years. Umtiti has helped build the foundation for Lyon’s success. Great in the air and smart on the ground. Should be a France international.
CB: Marquinhos: Paris Saint-Germain
When he was allowed to play at centre-back, Marquinhos was as good, if not better than his compatriots - Thiago Silva and David Luiz.
LB: Jordan Amavi: OGC Nice
The 19-year-old is one of the brightest young defenders in Ligue 1. He has a dangerous left foot and is an asset in the air.
DM: Morgan Sanson: Montpellier HSC
Sanson is a beautiful box-to-box player and has blossomed further in Remy Cabella's absence.
DM: Corentin Tolisso: Olympique Lyonnais
Wasn't meant to be a first-team player this season, but given his opportunity he hasn't looked back. Versatile and intelligent, Tolisso is great with the ball at his feet.
RW: Bernardo Silva: AS Monaco
The Portuguese midfielder has been a revelation for Monaco. Perfectly balanced with a wonderful left foot.
AM: Nabil Fekir: Olympique Lyonnais
Constantly bursting out of Lacazette's shadow. Fekir was rewarded with a call-up to the France national team. He is powerful, skillful and blessed with electric pace.
LW: Clinton N'Jie: Olympique Lyonnais
The Cameroonian winger started slowly, but near the end of the season when Lyon needed a spark, N'Jie really blossomed.
CF: Anthony Martial: AS Monaco
Once he settled in Leonardo Jardim's system, Martial enjoyed a wonderful second half of the season and finished with nine goals and three assists as Monaco confirmed their third place.
