QPR signed Luongo from Swindon Town earlier today, with the 22-year-old becoming the first signing Ramsey has made since being appointed as permanent QPR boss.
Luongo has penned a three-year deal at Loftus Road and Ramsey is looking forward to linking up with his new addition in pre-season.
"He brings quality on the ball; the ability to link up play all across the pitch; and his goals and assists record at club and international level speaks volumes for a creative midfielder," he said.
“As with any young player, there are areas of his game that need improving, but knowing him as I do, I know he will embrace the learning curve of playing for us in the Championship. I'm confident he will flourish at Loftus Road.”
Luongo and Ramsey have worked together before, when the pair were at Tottenham Hotspur earlier in their careers.
It means that Ramsey already has a good knowledge of what Luongo can offer the R's and he will be hoping that the Australia international hits the ground running next season.
QPR will be determined to make it into the automatic promotion places in the 2015/16 campaign so there is pressure on Luongo to adapt to playing a higher standard very quickly.
It is a challenge which Luongo is looking forward to and the creative midfielder was quick to react on social media site Twitter after the deal which was announced.
