Alexis Sanchez is hoping to crown his superb debut season in the Premier League with trophy this weekend.
After firing the Gunners past Reading in the FA Cup semi-finals, the Chile international is heading back to Wembley as they take on Aston Villa.
He has justified his reputation as a world superstar, with 24 goals in all competitions, showing why Liverpool attempted to beat Arsenal to his signature, as reported by the Liverpool Echo last summer.
Sanchez has been talking to BT Sport ahead of the cup final about his choice to sign the Gunners.
He said: "The reason why I moved to Arsenal is because there were a group of young players with the ambition to achieve things.
"I thought that Arsenal was the perfect club for me, the perfect club to win titles and compete in every competition."
How should Liverpool fans feel about his comments? Could their club have done the same?
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher told SkySports this week that he feels 'sick' watching Sanchez tear up the league for Arsenal instead of his old side.
If Sanchez wins the cup at the weekend then he will have a medal like he wanted, but even if not, Liverpool offered no guarantee either. They reached the semi-finals of two domestic cups only to fall short to Chelsea and Aston Villa.
In the Champions League, the Reds were barely competitive, finishing third in their group, and their Europa League 'run' was forgettable.
Liverpool have a core of young talent too, but they have proved this season to be less stable than Arsenal, and while Sanchez could really have been the difference maker, results have shown the South American's decision has played out to be a smart one.
