Wimmer looks set to sign for Spurs, having arrived in England to undergo a medical.

The 22-year-old centre-back has been a long-term transfer target for the Lilywhites, and having impressed in 34 games for Koln this season, it appears as is Mauricio Pochettino has finally won the race to sign him.
There are still no indications as to a fee paid to the Bundesliga club for his services, or if a contract has been agreed, but for all intents and purpose, it appears as if Wimmer will be a Tottenham player next season.
Wimmer himself is keen to wrap up the deal as soon as possible, with the youngster set to feature for Austria in the summer international break. Should he pass the medical, it is likely that a deal could be completed this week.
Speaking to the same media outlet, Wimmer also commented on the impressive season Tottenham enjoyed, securing qualification for the Europa League, something that the youngster believes was a ‘huge challenge’.
He said: “It's great that they have on the final day still managed to qualify for the Europa League. This is a huge challenge.”
Wimmer was a key figure in Koln's defence this term, helping them secure an impressive 12th placed finish, conceding just 40 goals in 34 games.
