Konoplyanka looks set to join Stoke City, despite long-term Tottenham and West Ham interest.

According to the Stoke Sentinel, the Potters are closing on a deal for Konoplyanka, who is set to join on a free transfer this summer.

The report claims that Mark Hughes has had officials in the Ukraine in the last few weeks to discuss a transfer with Dnipro, and have now agreed to a switch with the talented 25-year-old winger.

Konoplyanka is set to turn out for Dnipro this evening in the Europa League Final, although if the reports are correct, the 43-capped international will be playing his last game for the club.

It is certainly a surprising move should a transfer go through, with Konoplyanka a transfer target for both Spurs and West Ham in recent months, as per the Sun and the Daily Mail.

Both of those interested parties can offer Europa League football to the talented winger, but Hughes will have pulled off a incredible signing if the deal can go through, and it is another step on his path to revitalise Stoke into an exciting Premier League outfit with ambitions of European football.
