Credit Suisse has hired Cameron Lester, a general partner at venture-capital firm Azure Capital Partners, as head of global Internet investment banking.

Bloomberg News reports that Lester, 48, who starts in July, will be based in San Francisco and report to the firm’s technology group, according to a statement Tuesday. He is replacing Imran Khan, who left the firm in December to join Snapchat as chief strategy officer.

In the meantime, Bloomberg also reports that Goldman Sachs named Stephanie Cohen the global head of mergers and acquisitions involving financial sponsors, a newly created position.

Cohen, who joined Goldman Sachs in 1999 as an M&A analyst, most recently was the global sector captain for general industrials, part of both the industrials and M&A groups.
