Spurs were not exactly at their best, but earned a good win in the end.
Tottenham's controversial end of season friendly took place today and once again they were grateful for Harry Kane come the final whistle.
He scored twice as Spurs won the game 2-1 against a Malaysian XI, who gave it more than a good go.
He scored his first goal after good work from Christian Eriksen down the left. He found Tom Carroll in the box whose deflected effort found it's way to Kane at the far-post, who placed his half volley away from the Malaysia keeper.
Malaysia however soon equalised. They picked up a deserved leveller when Thiago Juninho headed beyond a sprawling Hugo Lloris. Although, on second watch, it might have been Tottenham left-back Danny Rose who scored an own goal.
Tottenham soon regained the lead with a delightful team-goal. Spurs knocked the ball around with ease before Carroll again turned provider. He slotted the ball through to Kane, who smashed the ball into the back of the net.
Malaysia certainly pressed hard for an equaliser and had their chances, but it never came to anything.
It was a good day at the office for Spurs, with youngsters like Carroll, Harry Winks and Grant Ward all impressing.
