Marseille finished fifth in Ligue 1, but André Ayew enjoyed an excellent final season with the club.
Every summer the Premier League clubs clamber over themselves to try and sign the best and brightest talent from Ligue 1. You only have to look at Chelsea's PFA Player of the Year, Eden Hazard, to see why.
The upcoming transfer window will be no different. Liverpool have been linked, by the Daily Mail, with signing André Ayew on a free transfer, and here are 10 other players that impressed this season and could be on the move in the summer.
GK: Steve Mandanda: Olympique de Marseille
Long-time Marseille servant, it has not been his best season, but was crowned the UNFP Goalkeeper of the Year. Still able to make the big saves, it could be time to move away from Ligue 1.
RB: Aissa Mandi: Stade de Reims
Mandi has spent the last few seasons impressing for Reims. Still under the radar, but a member of the Algeria team that was narrowly beaten by Germany at the World Cup. Step up could be the making of an already excellent player.
CB: Nicolas N'Koulou: Olympique de Marseille
Despite picking up an injury that ruled him out of most of the second half of the season, N'Koulou has enjoyed an excellent campaign, but wage issues could see him leave the Velodrome.
CB: Simon Kjaer: Lille OSC
It was always going to be hard to follow a season with 21 clean sheets, but Kjaer has been solid and commanding for Lille. The defence was strong throughout and only conceded eight times at home...until they played Marseille in their last match in front of their own supporters.
LB: Layvin Kurzawa: AS Monaco
Kurzawa had a quieter season than 12 months ago, but this is more down to Leonardo Jardim's tactics and style. Solid defensively, still has a great left foot and would be an asset to any top club.
CM: N'Golo Kante: SM Caen
One of the breakout stars of the Ligue 1 season. Great at stopping opposition attacks, but has the drive and ability to push forward. He would be perfect for any Premier League side looking for a dynamic midfielder.
CM: Idrissa Gueye: Lille OSC
Despite Lille's poor season, Gueye emerged as a star in an aging midfield. He does it all, and even added more of an attacking dimension to his play as he tried to spark life into Les Dogues.
RW: Max Gradel: Saint-Étienne
Easily one of the standout stories of the season. The former Leeds United man finished with an incredible 17 goals, but is unsure if Saint-Etienne are able to match his ambition.
AM: Joao Moutinho: AS Monaco
After a poor debut season, Joao Moutinho hit his stride in 2014/15. He was key to Monaco's counter-attacks as they finished third, but they could be tempted to sell if the right bid came in.
LW: André Ayew: Olympique de Marseille
Ayew is one of the most exciting free agents in Europe. Versatile, hard-working and a threat all over the final third, he would be perfect for any club looking for someone to inspire passion and desire into their attack.
CF: Claudio Beauvue: EA Guingamp
Developed from a wide player to a lethal forward, Beauvue has been excellent for Guingamp and his 17 goals should be enough to win him a move this summer.
