The Rubin Kazan midfielder struggled to make an impact at Celtic.
Celtic are not set to sign loanee Wakaso Mubarak this summer, after his season-long loan deal from Rubin Kazan proved to be less than successful.
The Ghanaian does however have suitors. In fact, Champions League quarter finalists AS Monaco who are ready to make a bid for the player.
The Daily Record are quoting a source close to the player as stating:
“Wakaso has visited Monaco and he likes the place.”
Mubarak has not exactly taken Glasgow by storm. The Black Stars international, who has 31 caps for his country, has played just 11 games for The Bhoys this season.
He was away on international duty for a period at the start of 2015 - representing Ghana in the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
Since returning he has played just once for Celtic and has not featured since that game in March against St Johnstone.
His form for the club was patchy at best and in the end he was clearly no longer considered a first-team face at Celtic Park.
Next term he will hope to impress wherever he ends up. It looks increasingly likely that will be in the principality.
