A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.
The paper mentions the Frenchman as a long term target for Tottenham but suggests they could struggle to get a deal done for him.
He’s made it clear that if he leaves the Saints, he wants it to be for a club playing at the top European level.
“I think my decision is made. If I leave Southampton it is for a club that plays better than Europa League,” he said.
The Enfield Independent has reported that Tottenham are closing on the £3.5 million signing of Burnley defender Kieran Trippier.
The paper also suggests that Liverpool are an interested party, but Spurs are reportedly in the best position to make a move.
He’s thought to be available after Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League.
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been quoted by ESPN suggesting his main focus at the club is how he can improve and progress next season.
Kane has been one of Tottenham’s key attacking players over the past year, scoring on the final day of last season.
He’ll face a challenge next year as he won’t have the surprise factor but it’s a challenge he’s up for.
“That's all I have to focus on, how I can get better and do even better next season. That's down to me and hopefully we can do better as a team,” he said.
