HITC Sport understands Leeds United are among a number of clubs chasing Wigan Athletic midfielder Chris McCann.
HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club that Leeds United boss Uwe Rosler is ready to return to former club Wigan Athletic to move for Chris McCann.
Wigan face a fight to keep hold of their best players in the wake of their relegation from the Championship and could be forced to cash-in on the likes of McCann.
McCann has rediscovered his best form after recovering from a serious knee injury he picked up in an FA Cup quarter-final victory over Manchester City in March 2014.
The Irishman made a successful recovery from the injury and was back in the Wigan first-team by November before going on to make 18 appearances this season.
Rosler is a big admirer of McCann having worked with him during his time in charge of Wigan and he is thought to be keen on being reunited with the 27-year-old.
The all-action midfielder has a wealth of experience having made over 250 appearances in his career and Rosler sees his leadership qualities as something that will be valuable to his plans as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for promotion next season.
