Departing Manchester United striker Radamel Falcao has taken to social networking site Twitter to thank the fans for their support this season.
The Colombia international’s time at United has come to an end, as he will now return to his parent club AS Monaco, as announced on the Premier League outfit’s official website.
Much was expected of Falcao this campaign, but the former Atletico Madrid striker struggled with injuries and failed to play well when fit.
In 26 Premier League appearances this season, the former River Plate star could score only four goals and create just 18 chances.
Falcao had a pass accuracy of 86% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and he won 19 headers, 13 dribbles and nine dribbles.
The striker has now taken to Twitter to thank the United fans for their support throughout the 2014-15 season.
