Tottenham ended the 2014-15 campaign with 64 points from 38 matches, six points behind fourth-place Manchester United.
The North London outfit will play in the Europa League next season and will go straight into the group stage.
Spurs secured their place in the European competition with a 1-0 victory over Everton away from home at Goodison Park on the final day of the season on Sunday.
Friedel, who will leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window, was part of the squad that travelled to Merseyside.
However, the 44-year-old former USA international goalkeeper did not feature in the match as he was not fit.
After returning to London with the Tottenham team, Friedel made the following posts on Twitter:
Just landed back in London from my last trip as a player...of all the years not being injured can't believe I was for my last ever game....— bradley h friedel (@friedel_b) May 24, 2015
