French starlet Anthony Martial is attracting a growing list of admirers.
Such is the excitement the hugely talented young forward is creating, inevitably, some pundits in his country have likened Martial to former Arsenal and France star, Thierry Henry.
Of course, Henry rose to fame and played his greatest football, when Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger converted him from a winger to a striker, after signing the legendary player from Monaco.
However, any planned swoop by Mauricio Pochettino this summer, could meet with stiff competition from La Liga, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that Atletico Madrid boss, Diego Simeone, is also showing a keen interest.
An attacking overhaul is expected at the Vicente Calderon this summer, after Atletico finished third this season in La Liga, and with their Argentine coach hoping to strengthen offensively.
In all competitions for Monaco this season, Martial has bagged 12 goals and provided 4 assists, amidst 26 starts in a total of 42 appearances.
Monaco paid a reported fee of €5 million plus bonuses when they signed Martial from Lyon in 2013, and whilst their preference will be to keep him, they could easily demand a fee well in excess of €20 million.
