West Ham's season is over, ending with a 2-0 defeat at Newcastle United which saw the home side survive in the Premier League for another season.
For The Hammers it has been a season of two halves. Early on they looked fantastic. But a dip in form and injury problems since the turn of the year has seen them plummet down the Premier League table.
In the end, West Ham will have to settle for 12th position in the Premier League.
It was also a goodbye game for manager Sam Allardyce. After the game West Ham released an official statement on their website confirming that the manager will not be offered a new deal this summer.
One West Ham player sent a goodbye Tweet after the game. However, not for Big Sam. The Kiwi sent this message, sharing a farewell with West Ham striker Carlton Cole.

The English striker is out of contract this summer and is going to be leaving Upton Park for the second time in his career, previously being re-signed by Allardyce.
Reid eventually did take to Twitter to also say goodbye to Big Sam:
Also thx to the manager all he has done has been brilliant and now we all look forward to a new coach and a new season— Winston Reid (@WinstonReid2) May 24, 2015
He was not the only West Ham player on Twitter after the game. Adrian sent this message, thanking fans for the season:
Thanks to everyone for your support in this season!Great moments with you to remember! We will come back stronger!pic.twitter.com/XBcxziCPSR— Adrián San Miguel (@AdriSanMiguel) May 24, 2015
Now the club's fans can await a new manager and hopefully a turnaround in fortunes.
