Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has written in the Bleacher Report that Arsenal should sign Christian Benteke from Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
“Arsenal still need a world-class centre-forward,” Collymore wrote in the Bleacher Report. “For me, that would be someone such as Christian Benteke of Aston Villa, who will be much sought-after. I don't know if Olivier Giroud or Danny Welbeck will win you the league.”
Benteke has come into some good form in recent weeks and is playing the way he did when he first arrived in England.
The Belgium international striker is scoring goals frequently, and it will be tough for the Villans to keep hold of him.
Under manager Tim Sherwood, the 24-year-old has regained his old touch and has scored important goals to help Villa retain their Premier League status for next season.
The former Genk star has scored 13 goals and created 32 chances in 28 league appearances this campaign.
Benteke has a pass accuracy of 66% and a shot accuracy of 45%, and he has won 183 headers, 16 dribbles and six tackles.
