Kevin Wimmer said goodbye to fans at FC Koln ahead of his summer transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.

SkySports reported that the centre-back's move to Spurs has been completed, and is just awaiting formal announcement from the clubs.

It certainly appears as though the defender has played his final game for Koln, with the Bundesliga season ending on Saturday.

The 23-year-old acknowledged this, taking part in a ceremony before the game.

Koln's departing players said a very public goodbye to the crowd, with Wimmer joined by Werder Bremen bound Anthony Ujah, and Anthony Matuschyk, set for a switch to Eintracht Braunschweig, as reported by German website

The German paper reported he literally has his bag packed, having cleared his locker at the ground ahead of the match.

The game against Wolfsburg ended in a 2-2, with Wimmer playing all 90 minutes. He had two shots at goal as he tried to bow out by getting on the scoresheet, and completed 94.6 per cent of his passes.
