Cesc Fabregas has finally got his hands on the Premier League trophy.
Chelsea celebrated the title they won earlier this month after beating Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on the last day of the season, and got time after the game to enjoy their much-awaited trophy presentation.
Fabregas sent out a photo on his Twitter page hours after the game, describing it as one of the proudest moments of his career.
The image is one fans of his former club Arsenal will not have envisaged possible even in their worst thoughts this time last year.
12 months ago Cesc was known to be available from Barcelona, but instead was being talked up for a return to Arsenal, as reported a Daily Mail article dated May 31 2014.
A week later he signed for Premier League rivals Chelsea, linking up with manager Jose Mourinho, and it has proved to be a winning partnership.
The Spaniard has played a key role as the Blues saw off competition to clinch their first title since 2009/10, also winning the Capital One Cup too.
Fabregas played for Arsenal for eight years and even captained the side, but always fell short of winning the league.
Doing so in his first season for rivals Chelsea is a bitter pill for Gooners to take, but they can be distracted if they win the FA Cup for a second year in succession, without him.
