Liverpool defender Glen Johnson has suggested on social networking site Twitter that he will leave in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old’s current contract with the Premier League outfit runs out at the end of the season.
No new deal is in place, and the England international has hinted on Twitter that he will leave Anfield.
A big thank you to all the people out there who have genuinely supported me through the last 6 years. #200 #NewChapter— Glen Johnson (@glen_johnson) May 24, 2015
Johnson joined Liverpool from Portsmouth in the summer of 2009 and went on to establish himself as a key player in the team.
The right-back has struggled for playing time this season, having managed to make just 15 appearances in the Premier League.
In those 15 games, the former West Ham United and Chelsea defender has scored one goal and created five chances.
Johnson has a pass accuracy of 83% and a shot accuracy of 17%, and he has won 30 headers, 22 dribbles and 26 tackles.
Following the Liverpool defender’s hint that he will leave in the summer, fans gave their reactions.
