Here is how Hull City and Manchester United will line up for this afternoon’s match:
It is set to be a nerve-shredding afternoon for the fans of Newcastle United and Hull City, with one of those two sides joining Burnley and Queens Park Rangers in being relegated from the Premier League.
As things stand, Newcastle have the advantage, with John Carver’s side two points clear of Hull. But the Magpies’ recent form has been very poor and they will have to be near their best to beat West Ham United at St James’ Park.
Anything less than a victory for Newcastle and Hull can survive if they defeat Manchester United at the KC Stadium.
That will not be easy, with United knowing there is still a chance – no matter how slim – that they will finish above Arsenal in the table and thus avoid the qualifying round for next season’s Champions League.
United have won their last 10 matches against the Tigers, with Hull’s last victory in this fixture coming way back in 1974.
But this is the final day of the season, United have not always impressed away from home and Hull’s fans are sure to be roaring them on, so there could yet be a twist in the tale.
