Alan Sugar reacts on Twitter to Spurs finishing fifth... he's not happy

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur chairman gave his view on qualifying for the Europa League.

Former Tottenham chairman Alan Sugar was less pleased than some about the club he supports finishing fifth in the Premier League.

After Southampton's loss at Manchester City and Liverpool's horror show at Stoke City, the north London side snuck in and finished fifth in the top flight, a solid achievement on paper even though Tottenham were aiming for a top-four finish.

But Lord Sugar feels Spurs qualifying for the Europa League isn't exactly good news as it 'distracts' Mauricio Pochettino's team from their league duties.

And the ex-Tottenham chairman took to Twitter on Sunday night to express his reservations.

Spurs' finish in the top five was confirmed after a 1-0 win at Everton, which came courtesy of a Harry Kane winner. Where would the north London side be without their 21-year-old hero?

In terms of the positive aspects of the White Hart Lane outfit's campaign, Pochettino's men also reached the Capital One Cup final.

Fifth and a cup final or no top four and no trophies - it depends on whether your perspective is glass half-empty or half-full... Are you happy with Tottenham's season in 2014/15?
