A famous Leeds United fan has said he cannot see Massimo Cellino selling the club anytime soon.
The 51-year-old is a passionate Leeds fan and back in February he sent the Twitterverse into meltdown when he asked his followers if they thought it would be a good idea for him to buy the Championship club.
Nothing came of that, with Massimo Cellino still very much in control, and this weekend Crowe responded when asked to “stand with” the Leeds fans if the Italian did sell in the near future.
“I am not sure you are right about that,” Crowe said when told by a Leeds fan that Cellino would sell up soon. “He seems adamant that he’s there for the long term”
Leeds recently replaced Neil Redfearn with new manager Uwe Rosler and there have been a lot of comings and goings both in terms of players and backroom staff in recent times.
Leeds finished this season in 15th place in the second tier but with Rosler at the helm, and their exciting young players another year older, they will be hoping to push for a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
Whatever happens, it seems unlikely Crowe will be anything more than a supporter for some time yet.
