Borussia Dortmund fans held nothing back during their final-day clash at home to Werder Bremen as they saluted manager Jurgen Klopp with a fabulous departing tribute.
The popular German coach arrived at the Westfalenstadion in 2008 and transformed the former underachievers, winning the Bundesliga title twice and helping the club become European heavyweights.
However, with rivals Bayern Munich reclaiming German superiority, it has become increasingly difficult for Dortmund to retain their better players and maintain such standards.
As a result, the 47-year-old emotionally announced his decision to leave the club this summer in April, and as such sparked heavy debate as to his future employment.
The Premier League is said to be an attractive proposition for Klopp and the Express listed Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City as the three most likely clubs to try and tempt him with a move in a report last month.
As per a report in the Metro, Klopp’s odds of moving to Merseyside dropped as low as 2/1 with Sky Bet over the past few days – a noteworthy situation even if the markets tend to fluctuate quite suddenly.
