Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Arsenal will win against West Bromwich Albion at home in the Premier League on Sunday.
The former Manchester United and Liverpool striker expects the Gunners to return to winning ways following their goalless draw with Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium in London on Wednesday.
“It seems almost inconceivable that Arsenal would go three home games without finding the back of the opposition net, but they looked jaded and out of sorts against the Black Cats midweek and will be hoping for a confidence booster before Wembley next weekend,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Arsenal to win to nil at 7/5”.
Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?
Arsenal have won just one of their last four Premier League games, and that was against relegation-threatened Hull City 3-1 away from home at the KC Stadium at the start of the month.
Since then, the Gunners have lost 1-0 to Swansea City at home, drawn 1-1 with Manchester United at Old Trafford and drawn 0-0 with Sunderland at the Emirates.
Meanwhile, West Brom will head into Sunday’s encounter on the back of a 3-0 win against champions Chelsea at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies will be determined to end the season on a high, but given the fact that Arsenal are at home, Tony Pulis’s side are unlikely to win.
A draw is not entirely out of the picture, but given the quality Arsene Wenger’s side have, a home win is the most likely outcome.
