Julian Dicks backs Slaven Bilic to be an able successor to Sam Allardyce at West Ham United.

Julian Dicks has explained on social networking site Twitter why Slaven Bilic would be a good manager for West Ham United.

Bilic is currently in charge of Turkish giants Besiktas, but he will leave them at the end of the season, according to The Guardian.

Sam Allardyce is the Hammers manager at the moment, but the Englishman’s contract with the Premier League outfit runs out in the summer.

No new deal is in place, and former West Ham defender Dicks believes that Bilic would be an able successor to the Englishman.

Bilic played for West Ham in the 1990s and was very popular among the fans, and he does indeed know the club quite well.

The former Croatia international defender also played for Everton, which means that he knows about English football.

Lack of Premier League experience is a factor which could come into play when the West Ham bossess look at Bilic, though.

West Ham are 11th in the Premier League table with 47 points from 37 matches at the moment, and will take on Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park on Sunday.
