Julian Dicks happy to be no.2 if West Ham appoint Slaven Bilic

Upton Park

The former West Ham defender and current Ladies manager would be happy to work alongside his ex-team-mate.

West Ham United Ladies boss Julian Dicks says he would be happy to work with Slaven Bilic if he is appointed the club's new manager next season.

Current head coach Sam Allardyce's contract expires at the end of the season and Bilic is many people's choice to replace Big Sam should he leave Upton Park.

Dicks, meanwhile, would be happy to work as his former team-mate's no.2 if the Croat would want him on-board.

Dicks also suggested Bilic would be a good choice for the Hammers' new boss and repeated his desire to work with him to a number of other followers.

And the West Ham Ladies boss also delivered an impassioned defence of any potential Bilic appointment when asked by one follower whether David Moyes would be a better option for the east London side.

Indeed, he cited Garry Monk and Ronald Koeman as examples of successful managers that didn't need to rely on any Premier League experience.

West Ham face Newcastle United later today for their last Premier League game of the season. It started off as a campaign to remember for the Upton Park outfit - but ended up reverting somewhat to the standard of recent seasons...
