Cristiano Ronaldo shows his support for Carlo Ancelotti on Twitter

Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo wants ex-Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti to remain as the Real Madrid coach next season.

Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has taken to social networking site Twitter to show his support to Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti.

According to The Daily Mail, Ancelotti will lose his job at Madrid in the summer following a disappointing 2014-15 season.

Los Blancos finished second in La Liga and also failed to progress beyond the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Ronaldo, who joined Madrid from United in the summer of 2009, has now taken to Twitter to make it clear what he thinks of Ancelotti.

Ronaldo is an influential figure at Madrid, and the fact that he is showing his support for Ancelotti so publicly could have a bearing on the future of the Italian.

The former AC Milan boss succeeded Jose Mourinho at the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2013.

In his very first season at Madrid, former Chelsea manager Ancelotti won the Champions League, with the Spanish giants also claiming the Copa del Rey.
