Liverpool and Sterling are currently involved in a bitter contract dispute, as reported by BBC Sport.
It has been reported that the Premier League outfit have cancelled a planned meeting with the winger on Friday due to his agent’s alleged outburst.
Sterling was reported to be informing the Liverpool bosses in the meeting on Friday that he does not want to sign a new contract, and that he wants to leave in the summer transfer window.
Many Liverpool fans are furious at the way Sterling and his agent are acting (click here to read more), but Keys claims that they should not be surprised because the Reds themselves took the winger away from Queens Park Rangers in 2010.
Not sure what Lpool's argument is re Sterling. Didn't they 'pinch' him off QPR who were also capable of giving 'a young player' education?— Richard Keys (@richardajkeys) May 22, 2015
The best solution to this problem is for Liverpool to sell Sterling in the summer transfer window.
If the England international winger does not want to play, then it is only going to have an adverse effect on the team if he stays next season.
