John Hartson has a message for Arsenal regarding Jack Wilshere

John Hartson wants Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to play Jack Wilshere more centrally in midfield.

John Hartson has taken to social networking site Twitter to suggest that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger should play Jack Wilshere more centrally in midfield.

The former Arsenal striker made the comments following the Gunners’ goalless draw with Sunderland at home in the Premier League on Wednesday.

England international midfielder Wilshere played for 67 minutes in the goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium in North London, taking three shots, having a pass accuracy of 75%, creating three chances, attempting six dribbles and making three blocks.

While Hartson does have a point, the problem is that there is a fierce competition for places in Arsenal’s midfield.

Wilshere may be a talented player, but his injury problems over the past few years mean that he is not guaranteed a place in the starting line-up.

The match against Sunderland saw the 23-year-old make his first start since November, and there is simply no way that he could come in and slot into central midfield rightaway.
