A table based on average attendances in the Championship last season, ranks Leeds United in the top three sandwiched between Derby County at the top and Norwich City in third.
The top three were the only sides to accumulatively break the one million mark in terms of fans who travelled to watch the side home and away as the club finished 15th in the table last year.
Leeds have one of the most passionate sets of supporters in the country and despite any adversity and controversy which surrounds the club, their fans always turn up and always get right behind the team.
Whoever is in charge of Leeds United in future seasons will benefit from that support and it’s something which can definitely have a positive impact on a young and developing side over the course of 2015/2016.
If the players know they are supported and know that the fans are ready to reward them for their efforts, they will put in that little bit extra when the fatigue starts to creep into their performances or when the heads start to drop.
Long may it continue.
