Reported Everton target Ryan Jack has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at signing a new contract with his current club Aberdeen.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder put pen to paper on a new deal on Wednesday which will see him remain at the Scottish Premiership outfit until the end of the 2016-17 season, as announced on the club’s official website.
After committing his future to Aberdeen, Jack made the following post on Twitter:
Jack was a reported target of Premier League club Everton, but it now appears that their chance of signing the highly-rated midfielder has gone.
According to a report in The Daily Mail last month, the Toffees were interested in recruited Jack, who has been in impressive form for Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Aberdeen are second in the league table at the moment with 75 points from 37 matches.
Meanwhile, Everton currently find themselves 10th in the Premier League standings with 47 points from 37 games.
