Juventus are reportedly keen on signing the Tottenham man this summer.
The Argentine winger has struggled in his two seasons at White Hart Lnae, failing to show the talent that he had proven on a consistent basis in Serie A with Roma prior to his transfer to the Premier League.
Regarded as one of the brightest prospects in world football, he secured a move to Spurs, but has struggled to replicate his game winning form for the Lilywhites, making 62 appearances for a return of six goals and 14 assists.
This season has seen something of an improvement on his last campaign, which was disrupted by injury and a failure to adapt to English football, and he looks to be growing into his role this term.
However, there has still been little reward for the fee paid out for the 23-year-old, and if Juventus come forward with a tempting offer Spurs may been looking to sell him.
For Lamela, it is hard to see if he will look for a move away from White Hart Lane, appearing to be very settled at the club, but Juventus can offer Champions League football and a return to Serie A, which he has already proven himself in.
