Report: Gray and Chansiri meet to discuss Wednesday's transfer plans

Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday are expected to make a number of additions in the summer transfer window.

According to the Sheffield Star, Stuart Gray has already held a meeting with new Sheffield Wednesday chairman Dejphon Chansiri to discuss his plans for next season.

Wednesday are looking to make a number of changes to their squad in the summer transfer window, with Gray looking to bring in an injection of quality.

The Owls boss is hoping to persuade Chansiri to spend big, providing him with the funds needed to recruit the players required to push Wednesday into the promotion picture.

The Yorkshire outfit are ranked among the favourites to claim a top two spot next season, but with expectations rising their task will be a tough one.

Wednesday's squad is currently in need of renovation if they are to make it into the automatic promotion spots, with the forward positions of particular concern.

Wednesday have struggled in an attacking sense this campaign and Gray is determined to bring in a striker this summer.

Doing so will not come cheap, but he will be hoping that his meeting with Chansiri has had the desired impact and that he will be backed with the cash required to tempt a clinical finisher to move to Hillsborough.
