The Dutchman previously played six games for the Dutch giants.
Willem II left-back Mitchell Dijks is certainly looking like a player with plenty of interest in his services this summer.
One team keen on his signature is Celtic.
The Scotsman linked Celtic with a £900k move for the Dutch left-back at the start of the month. Dijks, who can also play at centre-back, has played 27 times in Eredivisie this season and has impressed for the club, so there is little wonder Celtic are so keen.
Dijks would be an excellent signing for Celtic, and an approach has been confirmed for the player. Dijks himself told Voetbal that Celtic have made an approach for his services for next season.
However Celtic are not alone in their pursuit.
Yesterday it was reported that Feyenoord had already spoken to Dijks about his future by Voetbal International.
Now it has been claimed by De Telegraaf that Ajax are due to hold talks with the player about a potential return to Amsterdam.
The report claims that Dijks could return to Ajax, with whom he played six games between 2012 and 2014, on a deal until 2018.
