Tottenham reportedly interested in Dutch winger Bilal Ould-Chikh

Could Tottenham Hotspur be about to bring another talented youngster to White Hart Lane?

According to a report from in the Netherlands, Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs interested in FC Twente winger Bilal Ould-Chikh.

The player is very much one for the future, given that he is only 17 and he has featured just 19 times for his current side to date.

But he is a very talented player and with talks over a new contract reportedly at something of an impasse, Tottenham could be tempted to make their move.

Predominantly a right winger, Ould-Chikh can also play on the opposite flank if required, and he scored his first and only senior goal to date in a league match against Heracles Almelo back in January.

Unsurprisingly he has been used sparingly in his breakout campaign but the latest report cites quotes from an unnamed source that said, “Everything points to a transfer in the summer.”

Tottenham have a number of young players on their books and it could be argued that at this stage in their development under Mauricio Pochettino they should be signing read-made stars rather than promising starlets.

But for what could be a cut-price fee, Tottenham may be wise to make a move if the player does become available in the close-season.

After all, fine wingers are hard to find and he could yet blossom into a very effective wide-man.
