Former Tottenham Hotspur player Clive Allen told Kane that he should go because it will be a fantastic experience for him, as he revealed on talkSPORT.
Allen, who has coached at Tottenham, spoke with Kane as the forward collected his PFA Young Player of the Year award.
He stressed what performing in the under-21 tournament would do for the development of the player.
“I told him he should go and play. It’ll be a fantastic learning curve for him, playing in a very strong competition against the top young players and nations in Europe,” he said.
Tottenham midfielder Erik Lamela told the club’s website that he’s always looking to improve at the club.
The Argentine hasn’t been anywhere near his best this season, but he’s vowed to put in the effort needed to become a better player.
He has one game left this season to leave a lasting impression in the mind of his manager.
“I’m also happy with my form but I know I need to keep going and try to improve,” he said.
